Hi Daniel,

Thanks for taking time to read my blog and I appreciate the feedback. The client I was referring to in my article is the Citrix Desktop Receiver. However, the Online Plug-in, Version 11.2, is the new client which supersedes the Desktop Receiver and will give you the functionality your looking for. It can be located at the following link:

<a href="http://www.citrix.com/English/ss/downloads/details.asp?downloadId=1858087&productId=163057" rel="nofollow">http://www.citrix.com/English/ss/downloads/details.asp?downloadId=1858087&productId=163057 </a>

I have been working with a PVS deployment since we were running Ardence 4. The product was at first good for us, but had a few issues with performance HA and the occasional missing configuration. Since it became a Citrix product we have had a SR open with Citrix. It has been disastrous and I have put in many hundreds of hours of overtime trying to work it out. We recently upgraded to 5.1 SP1 and more issues have arisen. If I could have switched this out I would have by now. I purchased Zero Clients from Wyse and if they had been thin clients I would have moved on to a VDI deployment by now instead of streaming from the data center out to the desktop. I am sure this product must work somewhere but it certainly is failing for us.

It was the resolution for the specific issue I mentioned in the blog post regarding the POC. Prior to adding the registry key the vDisk build process was taking over 2 hours which obviously was a big issue as there was only about 3.6GB of actual data to capture. After disabling Offloading it took around 12 minutes.

Thank you Matt! These are very useful videos. Sometimes we become so used to "Googling" answers and being reactive to situations that we forget to search for the tools, such as these videos, that help us become more proactive.
