Just a quick post tonight but thought I would share some very useful information I found on the VIOPS site regarding how to more fully utilize the Alarm functionality in vCenter 4. This includes what’s new with Alarms in vSphere 4.1, how to better use default alarms, how to configure event triggers, configuring alarm actions, as well as how to copy alarm definitions between vCenter instances. There are also some useful scenarios based on how alarms can help with managing securing and compliance as well as monitoring HA.
